Before You Come

What to Bring

Pack for real ranch days — sun, wind, and a little bit of everything.

Packing

Come ready for the weather to change its mind.

Southeastern Montana runs warm and sunny through the day, with cool mornings and evenings and a wind that usually comes up in the afternoon. The air is dry and the weather can turn fast, so layering is the way to go — two or three layers you can peel off as it warms, tied to the back of your saddle when you shed them. Better to have it and not need it.

Don’t Forget

Good to Know

A few last things.

Dress Code

Casual, head to toe.

Jeans, t-shirts, and comfortable sportswear are all you need — nothing fancy about a working ranch.

Staying in Touch

Spotty signal, basic WiFi.

Cell coverage comes and goes out here, but there’s basic WiFi at Cow Camp and the ranch house, so you can check in when you need to. Out on the range, it’s just you and the quiet.

Drinks

BYOB.

The ranch keeps water, lemonade, iced tea, and plenty of coffee going. Bring your own beer, wine, or any special drinks you’d like on hand.
